Situated in the West Cliff area of Whitby, this stylish home provides a perfect base for groups wishing to explore the area. The golden sand of Whitby Beach is less than half a mile away from the cottage, so you can spend a day soaking up the sunshine, take a surfing lesson, or go deep-sea fishing. When you return, you can relax beside the wood burner in the lounge or retreat to one of the three comfortable bedrooms.
This charming cottage was once the servant’s living quarters of a Victorian mansion, which has now been converted into a B&B above. Enter the cottage into the hallway on the ground floor; this level is home to a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room. To access the living spaces, you will need to head down a small set of stairs. Make yourselves at home in the lounge/dining room, which offers plenty of space to relax in front of the wood burner and catch up on your favourite shows or movies on the Smart TV. A well-equipped kitchen with a utility room is ideal for preparing meals and picnics. On this floor, you will also find two further bedrooms; a king-size and a twin zip-and-link bedroom, plus a family bathroom.
While there is no outside space with this property, there is plenty to explore nearby. For fresh air and spectacular scenery, set off on The Cinder Track, an off-road walking and cycling trail that extends from Whitby to Scarborough. If you’d prefer to soak up some local history, then you should visit the impressive ruins of Whitby Abbey and the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, both 2 miles away. There’s also a wealth of shops, pubs and restaurants within 500 metres of the front door.
