Parking when we first got there was impossible, had to drive around for over an hour and a half looking for a space. Eventually had to park on the seafront as there really were no spaces, also no scratch cards in the apartment as stated in the instructions from the owner. Did manage to get hold of the owner she said the scratch cards had been locked away and was trying to get hold of the cleaner. Did manage to get parked in the space in the car park at the back the next day. Apartment was ok, but really is not suitable for the elderly. Infirm or disabled. As although stated in the advert, there are six steps up to the front door there are then a further four flights of stairs to get to the first floor of the apartment which is not mentioned anywhere in the advert. The apartment as a whole is ok as it was towards the end of the season did feel that it really needed a bit of tlc. Certain things were not up to standard chipped crockery, no bin bags and only 3 dishwasher tablets left out. The apartment is ideally situated near the seafront just need to be aware about all the stairs. This made us reluctant to venture out with just the thought of having to come back and climb all the stairs so not particularly great.Definitely not suitable for anyone who has difficulty with stairs.

Sadly a window had been left open, a bird had entered and did what birds do when frightened, not a great start to holiday. Whole apartment needs refurbishment.

The property is in an excellent location, as long as you don't mind a little walk up the hill. It was quiet and the parking space at the rear (as well as permits if required) was really useful as parking in the area is quite difficult. The owner was really helpful, giving me a call and sending through useful information about finding the property and internal features like operating the heating. The keys could be accessed from the key safe but it was a bit confusing which operated which door - there are two doors into the main entrance hallway and two locks on the apartment door as well as a rear door to the building, to the car. I arrived at night and there are no light switches in the lower hallway of the apartment so had to feel my way up the stairs. Finding the bedroom was a bit tricky as it was hidden behind the lounge door. Being able to put the heating on whenever I wanted to was lovely and the place did warm up quickly. There was no dishcloth so I had to buy sponges but there were dishwasher tablets. Tea and coffee and biscuits provided, maybe a small pint of milk would be a nice touch, also only 3/4 of a toilet roll. Overall the apartment is in an older style, it could probably do with modernising at some point but it is functional. The attic room is a bit eerie, the two bar stools up there don't help! The mattress on the double bed could definitely do with being replaced - there is a hump down the middle which tips you to one side or the other. There are two rips in the leather sofas, the shower cubicle needs all the silicone replacing as it's hard to tell whether it's dirty or mouldy or just old and discoloured. I think overall, the owner has tried to make it as nice as they can without spending much on doing it up. It was a convenient property for my stay but I'm unlikely to book it again.
