This luxury ground-floor apartment, situated within a Grade II listed former Georgian manor house, can be found tucked away in the rural village of Sneaton, near Whitby. Oozing character and charm throughout, this elegant apartment is the ideal base for a couple looking to explore North Yorkshire. The accommodation plays host to a large entrance hall and a well-presented open-plan living room, offering a cosy sitting area with extra sofa bed and a well equipped kitchen. It boasts a number of integrated appliances ensuring your stay is a comfortable one. The focal feature within this space is the woodburner housed within a brick hearth and a cast iron surround. Continuing to impress is the double bedroom, offering you a breath-taking view across the countryside to Whitby Abbey. This apartment benefits from a well-kept communal garden, perfect for enjoying the summer months within a tranquil setting with views across to Whitby Abbey. For amenities, you will find a charming local pub, tea room boasting a superb breakfast within a mere 10-minute walk, and a shop within 1.2 miles from the property. To keep you busy whilst staying here, head to Robin Hoods Bay and the seaside town of Whitby, where you can explore the ruined abbey, St Mary’s Church and the engaging Captain Cook Memorial Museum. Alternatively, the area is a superb walking base, with miles of North Yorkshire to explore. A noteworthy route is the ancient path of ‘The 'Monks Pathway’, a stone path that monks once followed to worship at Whitby Abbey. Apartment 4 is an outstanding base for exploring the wonderful area.
The rural village of Sneaton is situated just 3 miles from Whitby, and 21 miles from Scarborough. On the main street you will find a local, traditional pub and close by is Beacon Farm, which produces wonderful ice cream and also has a tea room and farm shop. This area is great for walkers with numerous public footpaths can be found around the village, including Monks Trod; an ancient stone path that monks followed to worship.
