The apartment has been equipped and furnished to a very good standard, and the open plan living area offers attractive, light and airy accommodation. The apartment has a double and twin room, and a modern family bathroom.
Famous for its links to Bram Stoker’s ’Dracula’ novel, Whitby has a Gothic flavour with its abbey atop the famous 199 steps offering exhilarating views every way you turn from this natural vantage point, across the harbour and town, and into the countryside beyond. The ruins of the abbey stand proudly on top of the East Cliff headland above the busy seaside town of Whitby.
The old town has cobbled streets and independent shops galore, as well as a fantastic foodie scene with everything from award-winning fish and chips to gastro pubs, bistros and traditional pub fayre. There are plenty of tea rooms and coffee shops mixed amongst the ice cream parlours and pubs with live music all year round. Whitby plays host to many different festivals and events from the bi-annual Goth Weekend, music festivals, a regatta and popular Folk Festival, so keep an eye on the calendar of events. There is a 2 mile stretch of golden sand to explore with rock pools and fossil hunting.
Venture further afield and visit the North York Moors National Park for some stunning scenery. Take a steam train journey into the heart of the National Park from Whitby station and snake into lush greenery. Visit ’Aidensfield’ from the TV series ’Heartbeat’ at Goathland. There are waterfalls and walking tracks including The Cleveland Way, the epic Lykewake Walk or the Cinder Track, which starts from the doorstep. Explore the Yorkshire Heritage Coast and discover the many hidden gems such as Runswick Bay, Robin Hood’s Bay and Staithes which are all a short drive away. The traditional seaside town of Scarborough is 20 miles south and has plenty to offer with its expanse of beaches, a waterpark and an open air theatre, which has regular international bands and acts performing throughout the summer. There is so much more in the area including the walled city of York, Pickering and an abundance of historic abbeys across North Yorkshire. Beach ½ mile. Shop 250 yards, pub and restaurant 200 yards.

Great location, dedicated parking space is larger than average and easy to access. The apartment is on the 4th floor and lift serviced. Other apartments in these block do have river and town views this does not. However good value for money in comparison with those with views. Rather small fridge freezer combination only downside for a family of four. Means lots of small shops. Apartment was clean and good WiFi. Enjoyed our stay would come again.

Bosun’s Quarters was clean, well appointed and quiet. The amenities in the accommodation fully met our needs. The location was ideal for us. Not too close to the Town to be noisy and not too far out to walk of an evening.As the accommodation is on the 4 th floor It would be essential for some guests that the lift is always working.

Bosuns Quarters is a brilliant apartment in the conveniently located Whitehall Landing development. It had everything we needed for a great stay. Beautifully decorated and furnished and exceptionally clean with the added bonus of a lovely wide parking space. We would definitely stay again.
