Here you admire the picturesque panoramas across the town before heading back down to stroll along the shores ahead of sampling Whitby’s famous fish and chips, a must do for all guests!

Experience something unique by taking a boat tour out onto the North Sea for a chance to spot the Wales residing in these waters. Follow the coast south to Scarborough to tour the dramatic ruins of Scarborough Castle, visit the grave of Ann Bronte and while away sunny days upon the golden shores! Whitby, a coastal town and port in the Scarborough region of North Yorkshire, sits at the estuary of the River Esk. Conveniently located for day trips to the surrounding countryside and coastal areas, the local area offers a wide range of activities. Anyone can find something to love in this area, from the Blue Flag beaches to the neighbouring North York Moors. Whitby's beautiful ambience is just one of its many appealing features; the town's winding alleyways and hidden alleys are home to several restaurants and stores. Visit the scenic harbour and lighthouse to take in a sunset, or go whale watching or on a coastal cruise to get up close and personal with some amazing marine life. Visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, which features a historical and ethnographic exhibition on Cook himself, or hike the 199 stairs up to Whitby Abbey.
