Guests say

Eversfield is a well-loved holiday cottage, praised for its spaciousness, comfort, and range of amenities including a hot tub, games room, and sauna. It's an ideal base for exploring Whitby and the surrounding areas, with its beautiful views and suitability for multi-generational family stays. Guests have enjoyed the thoughtful touches and the property's ability to accommodate large groups, making it a popular choice for celebrations and relaxing getaways.

Guests generally found the property clean and well-kept, with modern bathrooms and comfortable beds. However, there were minor concerns about mould on bathroom curtains and an unkempt garden area, suggesting room for improvement.

The location is highly regarded for its proximity to local attractions and scenic views. It's central for visiting Whitby, Scarborough, and Robin Hood's Bay, with restaurants and pubs within walking distance.

The property is celebrated for its comfort, offering plenty of space, comfortable beds, and various lounges. It caters well to different age groups, from children to the elderly.

Facilities like the hot tub, games room, and sauna are highlights, though some guests noted the need for maintenance, such as sharpening kitchen knives, fixing a washing machine, and replacing garden furniture.

While guests appreciated thoughtful gestures like a chocolate cake, there is insufficient information to evaluate consistency in thoughtfulness across all stays. It should be noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.

Horse riding can also be found nearby.

Whitby being only 9 miles away is a picturesque seaport famous for its Captain Cook connections, where the cobbled streets and yards stand in the shadow of the Abbey, overlooking the harbour. The 3 miles of sandy beaches lead to the pretty coastal village of Sandsend. Robin Hood’s Bay (renowned as a bygone smugglers’ haunt), Runswick Bay and Staithes are all worth a visit. Inland, the moors are scattered with villages, many with excellent inns. Goathland itself offers an excellent choice of inns and restaurants, in addition to local shops, post office and cafés. Scarborough 23 miles. York 38 miles. Beach 9 miles. Pub and restaurant 200 yards away.

A lovely , spacious house for our 3 generations and 2 dog stay. The chocolate cake left was a nice touch.Well equipped kitchen, we had everything we needed.Little niggle kitchen knives need sharpening, the provided steel was past its best. The hot tub and games room(cold even with heater on) were well used and I enjoyed the sauna. The kiddies enjoyed the play area.A great base for local walks and visiting Whitby,Scarborough and Robin Hoods Bay.Definitely would recommend.
