Guests say

Happy Days is a well-received cottage in Whitby, praised for its cleanliness, convenient location, and thoughtful touches like welcome packs. The property boasts on-site parking, a south-facing garden, and is well-equipped, though some guests noted the stairs could be challenging for those with mobility issues or small children.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as immaculately clean, with several reviews highlighting the property's cleanliness as a standout feature.

The location is frequently commended for being close to amenities and the town centre, with the added benefit of on-site parking, although the access road is noted to be tight.

The cottage is generally considered comfortable, with a warm and homely feel. However, some guests found the stairs difficult and the seating arrangements in the front room less than ideal.

Facilities are well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and WiFi. Some guests suggested improvements in heating and TV channels, and the stairs were noted as a potential issue for some.

Many reviews mention a welcome pack, which is greatly appreciated by guests. It is important to note that such gifts, while a lovely gesture, may not always be provided.

We always have a wonderful time each time we stay at Happy Days. It is so homely and comfortable, we cannot wait to return, which we have done alot over the last years. Thank you for an excellent cottage in a lovely place.

Excellent cottage. Improved & apparently freshly decorated each year. Well equipped kitchen. Excellent TV/ WiFi. Very close to all amenities. Has its own on site parking which is gold dust in Whitby. South facing garden. Helpful owners.

A lovely holiday house that belies it's gloomy location - once inside you'll be entranced by the well equipped, spacious kitchen and the roomy downstairs bathroom but the front room could do with a little application to detail - it was completely devoid of character, probably due to the fact that a piece of white board had been nailed over the fireplace and sofa number three (yes, three!) was totally blocking access to the landing and bedroom. We pushed it up against the coffee table for the duration of our stay but I'm sure there was no need for it for two adults and two children - the large and smaller sofa would be adequate plus maybe a beanbag or two for extra child seating. The cute 'balloon' wallpaper was a nice touch but the lack of fire made the room soulless - even a big container of fake flowers on the hearth would have disguised the board and cheered it up no end. Still, I wouldn't say no to going again - there was a generous welcome pack of tea, cake and biscuits, plus, a bag of treats for the dogs, which was very thoughtful and the whole place was immaculately clean and warm.
