Venture outside of the town and make your way to the thriving resort of Whitby, known for its 199 Steps where you will reach some of the best views in the area, the dramatic Whitby Abbey, and the popular walking and cycling trail The Cinder Track. Heading in the opposite direction, you will reach Scarborough, home to a SEA LIFE centre for any animal lovers in your group, Peasholm Park for those looking for a more peaceful day in the Japanese gardens, and the historic Scarborough Castle located right on the coastal edge. Robin Hood's Bay is one of the most gorgeous settlements on the English coast. This quaint little fishing community is nestled at the edge of a broad bay flanked by spectacular cliffs and dramatic moorland surroundings. Author Leo Walmsley previously lived here. All vacationers will adore the beach and cliff-top hikes, while serious walkers will enjoy the Cleveland Way, the Lyke Wake Walk, and the Coast to Coast walks.
