Guests say

Brincliffe Cottage in Whitby is highly praised for its prime location, cosy and spacious interiors, and cleanliness. Guests appreciate the property's charm and proximity to the seafront, with many planning return visits. While some minor maintenance issues and a lack of certain kitchen utensils are noted, the overall experience is positive, with the cottage's atmosphere and amenities contributing to enjoyable stays.

The cottage is consistently described as clean, with several guests specifically mentioning its cleanliness. However, a few comments about messy cupboards and a blocked shower suggest room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for being close to the beach and local amenities, with many guests appreciating the convenience and the charm of the surrounding area.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, spacious, and cosy, with a large lounge area. Some guests mention firm mattresses and a desire for bedroom reading lamps, indicating slight room for improvement in comfort.

The cottage is well-equipped, but feedback about the lack of certain kitchen items, a blocked shower, and the absence of a washing machine suggests that the facilities could be enhanced.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the owners, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Washing machine would be handy but we found laundromat in Whitby. Local shops are great. We weren’t prepared for the narrow street but it all worked out. Truely a lovely location.

Fabulous location for Robin Hoods Bay and surrounding beaches and bays. Close to Whitby. The cottage itself is surrounded by lots of character and charm. The cottage was beautiful and clean and has everything you need. We would stay again. Thank you for a lovely week.

Perfectly located in lower bay and very spacious. Particularly love the ensuite bathroom with skylight and being woken by the seagulls! Only recommendation would be bedroom reading lamps are needed, as only a mains light switch and emergency torch lighting provided this year, unlike previous years. Ice box in freezer also desperately in need of defrosting as had trouble getting a few bits in due to ice build up. Would thoroughly recommend accommodation as great price, superb location and clean and very warm throughout. Many thanks!
