Guests say

Ivylea Barn is a well-regarded cottage praised for its beautiful views, quiet location, and well-equipped interior. Guests appreciate its proximity to Whitby and local amenities, making it an ideal base for exploring the Yorkshire Moors and coast. The property's cleanliness and maintenance received mixed feedback, but the overall experience is seen as cosy and perfect for a peaceful getaway.

Most guests found the cottage to be clean and well-presented, though there was an isolated report of cleanliness issues which suggests room for improvement. The majority of reviews, however, do not raise concerns, indicating a generally high standard of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its stunning views, peaceful setting, and convenience for walkers and those wishing to visit coastal towns. The quiet roads and abundant wildlife add to the charm of the cottage's location.

Guests generally find the cottage comfortable, with only a single mention of uncomfortable pillows. The cosy atmosphere and well-laid-out interior contribute to a comfortable stay, as reflected in the positive comments.

The cottage is described as well-equipped and well-maintained, with state-of-the-art facilities by some. However, there is a mention of a freezer needing defrosting and an unkempt exterior, suggesting some areas could benefit from attention.

While there is a mention of a 'greetings hamper' that was not up to expectations, there are no consistent references to gifts or additional thoughtful touches provided by the hosts. As such, it is not possible to accurately score this category.

Lovely, clean and cosy cottage in Glaisdale, Yorkshire Moors. A very nice view from one of the kitchenwindows over meadows with cattle and the valley. The cottage is wellequiped.Glaisdale has a small villageshop and a (very good) butcher. Two pubs are nearby, near Glaisdale station and in Lealholm.
