Head down to Whitby Beach which is great for paddling, sunbathing, and crabbing if you’re feeling adventurous, and you might even find some fossils too. Enjoy a guided walk through Whitby, or venture into one of the several interesting museums, like the Captain Cook Museum, Whitby Jet Museum, and the Whitby Museum at the nearby Pannett Park. The park is lovely for strolling through, as well as hosting an excellent play area, great for the younger ones when the weather is fine. There are plenty of boat trips to be enjoyed, offering a chance to see the beautiful coastline from the water, as well as the North Yorkshire Moors steam train running up to Pickering.
