Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a spacious living room adorned with beamed ceilings, plush sofas, and a wood burner. The open-plan kitchen flows into the dining area, with a large table for sociable gatherings. The kitchen boasts underfloor heating, a breakfast island and a double oven for family feasts. Impossible to review this using this 'pro-forma'. So I'll try and explain.Everything about this cottage was AMAZING...location, comfort, heating, the kitchen with all its utensils, and so on. The living room was comfortable and the bedrooms great.However, the TWO showers leaked and so we called someone out (came within a few hours, on Boxing Day and the following day. The engineer told us that we shouldn't sue the showers until the sealant was dry. That meant that we didn't shower for THREE days. It was not a happy experience and we will seeking some gesture of goodwill in return. We go on holiday a LOT (semi-retired) and we have stayed in some beautiful places. Larpool was one of them...but we can't forgive the fact that the showers were inoperable and I'm used to showering every day WITHOUT it leaking through a kitchen light fitting downstairs!! What a shame, as it would have got top marks otherwise.

Great place!!!! Everything you need in the kitchen and more! Peaceful location yet 20 minutes walk into town centre! Lovely and warm for the cold nights and all was clean and tidy, Would love to return -great for us celebrating a birthday and early Xmas! Recommend definitely!

Having stayed in Whitby for a few years, by far the most spacious and well presented home. Excellent location, Excellent vfm.Well appointed, everything you could need. A nice downhill walk into Whitby, or if you prefer a taxi very reasonable price
