Og's House is a beautiful three-storey cottage in Whitby, North Yorkshire, with views of Whitby, permit parking, a patio garden, and the beach within easy reach. The property has been a loving family home for over 40 years since 1985, and is still family-owned. It has recently been fully renovated and, whilst modernised, has kept many of the original features and layout.

Across five bedrooms, guests can choose from a king-size, two second-floor doubles, a second-floor twin, and a bunk room - with smart TVs fitted in four of the rooms, while two bathrooms, including one with both a bath and walk-in shower, help keep busy mornings running smoothly. Outside, the patio garden adds another place to pause, with a fuchsia tree bringing colour to the setting. Whitby itself offers plenty for all ages, from the dramatic ruins of Whitby Abbey to the harbour, piers, beach, and the Captain Cook Memorial Museum. Venture to Robin Hood’s Bay to wander its steep lanes, follow the Cleveland Way, and visit the beach beneath the village. Staithes is another rewarding coastal stop, known for its harbour, artists’ heritage, and the Captain Cook and Staithes Heritage Centre. Amongst its many attractions, Whitby holds a charming atmosphere, home to winding streets and hidden alleys, where you can find a wide selection of eateries and shops scattered amongst them. Take a trip to the picturesque harbour and lighthouse to watch the sun set or get involved in some whale watching or a coastal cruise to watch the creatures up close. Climb the famous 199 steps to the Whitby Abbey to immerse yourself with history, or visit the Captain Cook Memorial Museum presenting historical and ethnographic exhibition about Cook himself.
