The cottage was lovely and situated in an unusual place. Plenty of room in the bedrooms and kitchen. Steep steps down from the main road through a tired wooden gate which isn’t suitable for the elderly or disabled access. We took our dog but unfortunately with there being a very small courtyard concrete entrance to the house meant we had to get up to walk the dog to the nearest grass area up the road first thing in the morning and last thing at night which we were disappointed about. Dogs are not allowed in the local park nearby. Was a 15 minutes walk down the hill to the harbour which was easy to find. Beautiful walk along the beach Whitby to Sandsend which we would recommend. Parking outside the cottage was hit and miss so we mainly parked up the road about 5 minute walk.

A delightful cottage. Very comfortable. Parking wasn’t much of a problem. We managed to park outside on the rd most of the time. When we couldn’t we parked just further up the road. The downstairs bedroom and en suite was the best thing as we took my elderly mother in law.
