Rooftops Cottage in Whitby is praised for its brilliant location, superb bedding, and well-equipped nature. Guests enjoyed the clean rooms, stunning views, and the welcome pack with local treats. Some noted challenges with parking, steps to the property, and a lack of garden space. The rooftop terrace offers fantastic views, though seagull presence can be an issue. While most found the cottage comfortable and spacious, a few mentioned maintenance needs and cleanliness concerns.
Most guests found the cottage to be super clean, with some exceptions noting areas that could benefit from additional cleaning or maintenance. The presence of mice mentioned by one guest suggests room for improvement.
The location is consistently praised for being central and convenient, with easy access to Whitby's attractions. The views from the property are also highlighted as a significant positive feature.
Guests generally found the beds very comfortable and the cottage spacious. The addition of a games room and a well-stocked kitchen contributed to the comfort of the stay. However, some guests mentioned issues with noise and a lack of garden space for pets.
The cottage is well-equipped, with a good hot water system and a welcome pack. However, some guests reported maintenance issues such as lighting problems, missing coffee machine, and a non-functional awning. The need for clearer bin collection information and updates to the guidebook were also mentioned.
The welcome pack with local treats was a pleasant surprise for guests, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as not all reviews mention gifts, and to ensure expectations are managed, it should be noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.
