Springfield Cottage in Whitby receives high praise for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location, ideal for exploring the North York Moors & Coast. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cosy atmosphere, and thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.
Guests consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'very clean' and 'impressively clean'. One review noted the oven needed cleaning, but this appears to be an isolated comment.
The cottage's location is frequently praised for its easy access to local attractions and beautiful views. It is described as 'ideally situated' and 'in easy reach of the coast'.
Many reviews highlight the comfort of the cottage, mentioning 'comfy beds', 'cosy' living spaces, and a 'warm' atmosphere. A few guests suggested improvements, such as lighter duvets for summer.
The property is lauded for its well-stocked kitchen and modern bathrooms. However, some guests pointed out maintenance issues like a leaky fridge and a problematic Velux window, which slightly lower the score.
The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident from the welcome packs mentioned by guests, which are greatly appreciated. It should be noted that such gifts, while a lovely gesture, are not guaranteed for every stay.
