Sea Shanty is a fabulously furnished duplex apartment, resting on the harbourside in the wonderful North Yorkshire fishing port of Whitby. Its superb location and heart-warming interior make this a holiday base of excellent quality, perfectly suited for family or friends wishing to get away. A set of internal stairs bring you up to the property, allowing you to take one last look at the harbour and the abbey in the distance before heading into this home-from-home. As you enter the apartment, leading off from the hallway lies a stylishly tiled family bathroom offering a shower over the bath. Next to this you will discover an immaculate twin bedroom, completed to a hotel-like standard and a glimpse of harbour views. Also on this floor lies a wonderfully warming open-plan living area where you can make the most of the comfortable seating around the living flame effect electric fire, a charming dining table looking over the streets of Whitby and a well-equipped kitchen boasting a slick, glossy finish to add a real touch of class. A set of traditionally steep stairs lead up to the cosy converted loft, this space is occupied by a comfortable king-size bed and enhanced by the stunning exposed wooden beams with views across to the Abbey steps. In the corner lies an elegant roll-top bath where you can lie and soak in peace at the end of the day. The wonderful amenities and attractions of Whitby are upon you as you step out of Sea Shanty's front door, you can sit and relax in one of the many charming pubs, restaurants and wander around the quaint shops whilst taking in views of the harbour, dramatic abbey and glorious sandy beach. Outside of Whitby you can trek through the wondrous North York Moors, a National Park abounding in idyllic walking country as well as some marvellous coastline. Whitby is an old fishing port surrounded by the North York Moors National Park on the banks of the River Esk. It boasts a wealth of different amenities as well as a stunning harbour, a stunning abbey and a sandy beach with a pier. Walkers and cyclists can explore the North York Moors, a landscape also abounding in timeless villages.
