A delightful stone terraced cottage hidden away in one of the quaint narrow yards in the centre of the historic town of Whitby.
Dating back to the 1700s, the cottage retains many original features and appeals to anyone wanting a traditional seaside holiday with all the amenities on the doorstep.
Set over three floors, this warm and welcoming cottage has much character and is furnished with a homely feel with its Inglenook fireplace and beamed ceilings.

Over the years we've stayed in several rental properties on both sides of the harbour: Inglenook Cottage is one of the best. Comfort, quietness & facilities are great for a couple: the becroom is spacious with an excellent bed & bedding. Heating/hot water are easy to use. Very peaceful with no passing traffic, just the occasional pedestrian. Central location gives easy access to everything a holidaymaker needs: pubs (30 seconds to the nearest), harbour (one minute), shops, cafés etc. are just around the corner. Whilst parking to load/unload, we just copied the beer delivery van and parked outside the micro-pub for ten minutes, then left the car on Endeavour Wharfe car park (tickets from Touriist Information office). The owners have done an excellent job of equipping the cottage whilst maintaining the charm of an old building. From start to finish Judith was very communicative. We had a great stay. It had everything we could think of (even a little sewing kit, in case of emergencies) and Judith has obviously put a lot of care and thought into making the cottage a pleasure to stay in. We had a problem with the plumbing during the week but as soon as I messaged, her husband came round to attend to it, even though it was a bank holiday. Inglenook Cottage is perfectly located for access to different areas of Whitby and there are plenty of places to eat out and attractions to visit. Parking is available in nearby areas and we were provided with everything we needed to be able to park without paying. Would definitely recommend :-)
