This is the first time as a family we've been on holiday at new year. We had a brilliant time. The accommodation the Artists Retreat was spot on . It was clean, warm, comfortable and very well maintained. The decor of the apartment is very quirky, which just adds to the whole experience of staying there. There's a games cupboard in the main living room on the first floor where we discovered Junior Monopoly and other games.It is located very close to the train and in turn the rest of Whitby is about a ten minute walk from the property.I would definitely recommend this accommodation for a break. Whether you want to just want to test and relax, or use it as base to visit the surrounding areas 🙂

Two friends stayed for three nights. A few stairs to ascend with our luggage but it was manageable. Sitting room spacious, comfortable, the blankets provided were cosy at night. The TV was fab, we were able to watch what we wanted and it’s a great size. The kitchen had everything we needed. The shower was hot and powerful. Loads of storage space.Both bedrooms very comfortable, I would have preferred thick curtains, but that’s a personal preference. We looked at the attic room, it was amazing, but we didn’t use it. Location great, it was really quiet and only a short walk from town. Managed to park, for free, right outside the apartment. Good communication from the owner and it was easy to get the keys from the key safe. All in all, highly recommended and we would definitely stay again.

Beautifully decorated with lots of thought. Beds very comfortable best sleep I've had in years. Rooms all a generous size comfortably furnished. We felt very spoilt to stay in such a lovely flat and our teenagers enjoyed having plenty of space to themselves. Helpful guidebook to use in case of problems (we didn't have any) and leaflets on local places of interest. Thoughtful welcome basket with tea and jam etc and a well stocked coop a short walk from the flat. Well stocked kitchen including a cooker microwave and washing machine. No parking but we did not have a problem finding somewhere to leave the car and the hosts were in contact before we arrived to help with parking suggestions. Would certainly recommend a stay in this inspiring property.
