Lovely little cottage near whitby bay. We stayed for 4 days over the easter weekend. Lovely view across to the Abbey (if you forget about the poundland to the right ha ha). Welcome basket was much appreciated although the milk that was left was out of date but we had already been shopping and had bought our own. The fire made it nice and cosy. The kitchen knives could do with being a bit sharper but that was just my husbands preference. A lot of foot traffic outside the property, which isn't a problem but you can see in so we kept the curtains closed. We did the costal walk from the Abbey to Robin Hood bay which was an easy 10K walk and got the bus back to Whitby. We also visited Gothland and Staithes. Walked the 199 steps up to the Abby, Whalebone arch, went on the pirate boat across the bay. Abbey Wharf is good for a pint and the views across the bay. Whitby is such a pretty place and would definitely recommend Whitby and the Old Bakehouse. Parking is free from 6pm untill 9am otherwise have to pay to park outside of those hours. Car parks are very close. All in all we throughly enjoyed our stay.
