The old bakehouse is a beautiful home with character and comfort with amazing views of the sea and castle from almost every window. It’s an ideal base for Whitby or travelling along the coast on the excellent bus service. We had a food delivery which was able to park outside and drop our order, there is also a well stocked Co- op 10 mins walk away. My grandchildren loved the house as it felt so homely and space to sit and read with books provided was great. The welcome pack was one of the best I’ve ever seen 👍We travelled on the train so didn’t have any problems with the parking issue but I can understand it could be an extra expense.

We had a wonderful time at the Old Bakehouse. It has lovely decor and a real charm with a location that you just can’t beat! It was fully stocked with all the kitchen essentials and a hamper of goodies which was so kind. Milk in the fridge, hand soap and washing up liquid are all little things that go along way to getting the holiday off to a good start! We would definitely go here again!!

We loved our stay in The Old Bakehouse! Super accomodation in a great location and fab views to the Abbey! Really well looked after internally and very clean. Slightly disappointed that there were no parking discs or ‘scratchcards’ provided (well we couldn’t find any anyway) particularly with the price of the public car parks, but perhaps it’s our own fault for not asking for them? However, the welcome hamper was a lovely touch (thank you). We would book again if in Whitby. Thanks!
