Follow the Cleveland Way along the dramatic coastline or spend hours rock pooling and fossil hunting on the beach. The historic seaside town of Whitby is also within easy reach, famous for its atmospheric abbey ruins, the iconic 199 Steps, bustling harbour, boat trips, seafood restaurants and links to Captain Cook and Bram Stoker’s Dracula. A little further along the coast, Scarborough offers two beautiful bays, the impressive medieval castle, Peasholm Park, the Open Air Theatre, the Sea life centre and miles of golden sandy beaches, while Filey is perfect for a traditional day beside the sea.

Back at the holiday park, guests can enjoy a peaceful woodland walk through 23 acres of private woodland, where scenic paths lead past large wildlife ponds, making it an excellent place to spot local birds and wildlife. There is also a small on-site shop for everyday essentials, along with a convenient laundry room. Just half a mile down the country lane, the popular Flask Inn provides a warm Yorkshire welcome and a delightful beer garden, ideal for relaxing with a drink after a day exploring.

To reach the lodge, ten wooden steps lead up to the elevated decking, where you’ll be rewarded with panoramic views stretching across the holiday park towards the surrounding moorland. The spacious deck is a wonderful place to enjoy your morning coffee or dine alfresco at the picnic table while soaking up the scenery.

Inside, the open-plan living space is bright and inviting, with double glass doors allowing plenty of natural light to flood the room while perfectly framing the beautiful views outside. Comfortable sofas are arranged around the TV and electric stove, creating a cosy place to unwind after adventurous days out. The adjoining dining area centres around a large table, while the contemporary kitchen is well-equipped with everything needed for preparing home-cooked meals.
