The hot tub was great, and was cleaned every morning along with the garden. Prosecco was a nice touch. Furnishings were lovely, the cottage was always nice and warm. Bedroom nice size though were used to a king size bed so the bed was a bit snug but comfy nonetheless. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice break away in a quiet and peaceful location. Plenty of walks locally, nice pubs within driving distance. Car is necessary as no shops in walking distance but we did a full shop anyway so no problem. Half way between Selby and Goole and not too far from York so plenty to do if you wanted to go out for the day. We did have one issue, we stayed over new years eve for 4 nights. 3 of the nights we had no neighbours and over new years eve we had people staying in the cottage next door who were up screaming and shouting (literally screaming at the top of their voices) until after 5am without a care in the world for anyone else. Understandably it was new year, but 5am and the noise they were making was just horrendous. They arrived late and left late, so unsure if renting the property but it was so bad that we actually considered leaving on new years day out of worry that theyd be back that night, but thankfully they left. The walls are pretty thin. If I was guaranteed no neighbours I would return in a heartbeat, but out of worry that I'd have neighbours like that again it would have to be a no. I'm not marking the property down for this as the property is stunning, but maybe could use some sound proofing to avoid noisy neighbours.

( you can hear nxt door though in certain areas of the property ) Bedroom/bed comfy . Downstairs bathroom fine once you've got used to it - could do with basket/holder for toiletries . Fab patio & hot tub. Footstools would be a welcome edition when watching TV from the sofa ( TV in lounge- no signal for general channels). Parking outside, remote location- car needed if you want to go out & about.
