This fabulous end-terrace fisherman's cottage sits on the High Street in the historic seaside village of Staithes in the North York Moors National Park. Beautifully presented throughout, this is the ideal holiday home for friends and families wishing to explore the stunning heritage coastline and the wonderful countryside of the North York Moors. Deceptively spacious, there is a superb open-plan living area with a contemporary kitchen, comfortable furnishings and a lovely warming woodburner, perfect for relaxing in front of with a glass of wine on cooler evenings. With a tiled floor and a stylish eye to design, this bright and cheerful room provides a very sociable space for guests to sit and enjoy time together. The three bedrooms are set over two floors and have a nautical theme running throughout with quality bedding and mattresses to sink into after a busy day on the beach. Both double rooms have additional day beds for flexibility of sleeping arrangements, while one has a modern en-suite shower room. The luxurious family bathroom has a beautifully tiled floor and offers a roll-top slipper bath, perfect for a deep soak at the end of the day. A minute's walk down the cobbled street brings you to the pubs, tea rooms and shops, with the quaint harbour and beach just beyond. Spend the day exploring the narrow alleyways and quirky ginnels, visit the local museum and gallery, or enjoy an invigorating cliff-top walk along the Cleveland Way. Nearby Whitby is well worth visiting, with its famous abbey, long sandy beaches, excellent restaurants, quirky cafes and independent shops. With many attractions in this beautiful area, this lovely cottage offers something for everyone.
The seaside village of Staithes, with its cobbled streets and back alleys, is something of an artist's dream. Its pretty houses and cottages are clustered around the old harbour and surrounded by high craggy cliffs and there is a sheltered sandy beach set amongst the rocky coastline. Staithes is a superb base for exploring the Yorkshire Coast, visiting the larger resorts of Whitby or Scarborough and enjoying the moorland villages of the North York Moors National Park.
