No smoking.. This unique property has been lovingly restored from part of the ancient ruins of Seaton Hall and welcomes guests for stays starting in autumn 2024. Seaton Hall has a rich history, named after the de Seton dynasty who resided here from 1130 to 1307 and formed alliances through marriages with the Scottish Royal family. Passed down through generations, the hall eventually fell into disrepair, until the current owner acquired the estate in 2002 and began its restoration with the help of skilled masons and craftsmen.
The cottage itself is beautifully furnished, combining modern comfort with touches of antique charm. On the ground floor, the open-plan living area features a modern kitchen, a dining table, and a cozy seating area with three sofas around a smart TV. A feature fireplace with exposed patterned brickwork adds character to the space. Also on this floor is a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom that includes both a bath and a shower.
Upstairs, there are three more bedrooms: two family rooms, each with a double bed and a single bed, one of which has an en-suite shower room, and an additional single bedroom. With its blend of history, comfort, and scenic surroundings, Seaton Orangery promises an unforgettable stay.

Stayed for Goth Weekend. The property was very clean. Towels and bed linen all white and clean. Comfy beds. Three bathrooms, en-suite downstairs would suit a les able couple. Close to Staithes Village. Excellent fish & chip shop close by. Co-op close and cafe and Antiques Centre next door. Whitby and Robin Hood Bay not too far. Gentleman greeted us on arrival and had put the heating on for us. Very pleasant, then left us alone to enjoy our stay. Just needed a Hot Tub, no seriously, nothing to complain about.

Very comfortable,quiet and in an ideal location for amenities and walks .Cottage needs to have more cutlery and crockery and glasses to accommodate 9 people.

The place was fantastic, in a good location. Mr William Kidd who runs the accommodation is attentive to the needs of the holidaymakers and efficiently deals with any problems if any arise which is unlikely my only gripe would seem petty but the orangery sleeps nine and the toaster is only a two slicer. Yes I would give the Orangery 10 out of 10 and Mr Kidd 11 I would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to friends and family and will definately be back. Thank you William it has been a real pleasure
