Decide where you want to sit for your morning coffee or evening tipple as you have access from the living room to a stone patio or from the dining area to another seating area. There are two double bedrooms and a stylish bathroom on the first floor.
Located in the pretty village of Loxely, near Sheffield, you will not be short of things to do. We stayed at 2 the Calf Pens for 6 nights and we were totally impressed with the cottage. We could not fault a thing! The location is fabulous. Just outside the city but already in the countryside which worked perfectly for us as we were doing things in Sheffield and in Bradfield. The cottage is equipped with EVERYTHING and we had lots of little welcome treats on arrival. The kitchen is stunning!! I want one just like that!! We could do our laundry from start to finish so an iron and ironing board are available. There’s tv’s and fans in all the rooms. The cottage is full of character too as it’s an old calving shed on the farm that has been converted so old stone, wooden beams etc. Jane, the owner, is fabulous too. If I’m going back to that area I would definitely book the cottage again and would highly recommend it to anybody else.

Could not ask for more. Great location to go exploring and easy access to the city. Very smart barn conversion, peaceful (wouldn't really know it was on a working farm) and welcome pack was a lovely thought. Would recommend and consider a return stay.

Just spent 5 nights here & honestly, the best holiday cottage I've stayed in. Peaceful location on a working farm - a real home from home with everything you could need & more. Not far from city & lots of walking in Peak District. Thank you for an amazing stay, would highly recommend
