Head into Pocklington to browse in the interesting shops and visit the weekly market. Wander beside the lakes at Burnby Hall Gardens, also 1.5 miles away. Keen walkers may well also wish to pull on their boots, pack a few sandwiches and stride out along parts of the nearby Yorkshire Wolds Way. Visit York to experience its many historic sites, including the city walls and minster. Indulge in a little retail therapy and choose between a vast array of restaurants while you are here. Beverley, which is famous for its minster, is 19.5 miles away.

Make your way up four steps to the large deck that sits beside your inviting holiday home. Step inside into the chic, triple-aspect, open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. The stylish kitchen area boasts ample space for food preparation and storage, and even has a boiling water tap. Pull a cold bottle from the wine fridge, pour yourself a glass and perch on a stool at the breakfast bar while you decide what to whip up here for the next feast. You can enjoy meals at the table inside, with the French doors open on fine days, or outside on the deck when the weather permits. On chillier days, cuddle up on the comfortable seating in front of the electric heated flame effect fire and the Smart TV. There is also a handy utility room. The lodge offers two gorgeous bedrooms, 1 double and 1 twin and one of them has an en-suite bathroom. There is also a family shower room.

Head outside and wander down to the water’s edge to go fishing or sit quietly and watch the wildlife. Enjoy the tranquillity from your private deck as well. Relax out here over summer lunches or sundowners as the day draws to a close. Guests at this lodge have parking for two cars.
