The cottage has everything you would need, the kitchen is well equipped and forms part of the open plan living space. The underfloor heating keeps the cottage warm and the log burner was lovely and cosy in the evening. Welcome pack was lovely too, we enjoyed the scones, jam and cream. Its conveniently located just a few miles from Grimston Bar park and ride, the bus takes you straight into York where you can visit all the attractions. Would certainly recommend, lovely cottage in a great location.

Lovely cottage with comfy furnishings and lots of space for two couples so you don't feel on top of eachother. Enough parking for two cars but would recommend taking public transport into the city as parking is expensive during the day. It's only a short bus ride into York from a bus stop on the main road. The cottage is well equipped for a short stay but I'd recommend bringing a few basics for the kitchen like a tea towel, kitchen roll, hand soap and sugar as we needed to bring our own or buy while we were out. Definitely recommend the Balloon Tree Farm Shop nearby for breakfast and local produce.

Towels are maybe a touch small, but I suspect that's a personal preference thing. Lovely and peaceful and watching the boxing hares in the fields by the garden (with small playground!) was magical.
