A stunning three bedroom 20ft Lodge built in 2021, consisting of master bedroom with a king-size bed, with en suite shower room, twin room consisting of two single beds, and a bunk bedroom, consisting of two smaller bunk beds, main bathroom with shower over bath, spacious open plan lounge with electric wood burning stove and dining area. The well-equipped kitchen contains an oven, toaster, kettle, microwave/grill combination oven, 2-ring hob, fridge with freezer box and dishwasher. An iron/ironing board and hairdryer are also supplied. Spacious veranda with private luxury hot tub and garden furniture overlooking the lake. The perfect place to relax after exploring the area.. Adults Only Bar - Open March-October. Electric cars are welcome on site however they’re not permitted to charge on site during the stay or park near the accommodation there will be a designated car park for electric vehicles away from the cabins.
A vehicle recognition barrier has now been installed. Therefore all vehicle registration details must be provided to the park prior to arrival, otherwise the barrier will not grant access without this. Please contact the park directly to provide this information.
Please note single sex groups are not accepted at Flaxton Meadows, and bookings of more than 2 lodges for the same group is not accepted.
All accommodations are now strictly adult only, with a maximum of 5 adults.
Parking is available for two cars only at the front of each cabin. The park does not allow vans.
Electric cars are welcome on site; however cars are not permitted to be parked next to the accommodations. There is a designated car park on site for electric cars.
The bar is adults only (18 years and over) and it will be open between 1st March and 31st October.

We had a really lovely stay in the cabin and it’s clear that a lot has been invested to make them a very high standard. However, there were a few things that we found disappointing. As soon as we walked in, in 35 degree heat, we were hit with a strong stench of dog urine which I discovered was coming from the front door mat. Being a dog friendly property, I’m not expecting perfection, but I’m also expecting something by nicer than this on entry. This smell hung around for the whole week we stayed despite me trying to spray it. There were lots of broken/cracked crockery and glasses, and on the kitchen floor were sticky patches which had collected dirt and were black. The toilet in our en-suite was so wobbly, I worried it was going to come out of the floor. There are no windows in two of the bedrooms, so unless you have the doors open all night there’s no air flow. We were provided with fans but unfortunately one was broken, however we always travel with our own anyway. The grill tray in the oven had a big collection of old white food fat on it when I went to use it, which wasn’t ideal. Our hot tub was dirty and a bit of a green colour, not completely full and flashed ‘clean filter’ for the whole week. The decking had a few sharp edges which we had to be careful of especially with wet feet. There was also no gate on the decking area, meaning the dogs could’ve got out at any point had we not have blocked off the gap, again in hot weather when we need the doors open it wasn’t ideal. We genuinely did enjoy our week, but that’s because it was what we made it. Had the cabin been kept at a high standard of cleanliness and repair it would’ve been perfect as the space really is incredible, so much room and didn’t feel squashed at all. However for the price we paid to stay, and having visited many competitors in the local area across previous years, we did leave a little disappointed. I feel a lot of focus is put into the camping site rather than the cabins. Aside from this, the site is in a really great location for exploring York and surroundings. It’s quiet, peaceful and the staff are genuinely lovely.
