Biggan Mews is a well-regarded cottage in York, praised for its prime location, comfort, and thoughtful touches. Guests appreciate the proximity to local attractions, the homely feel, and the convenience of on-site parking. While most find it clean and well-equipped, a few noted minor cleanliness issues.
The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with many guests satisfied. However, there are isolated comments about cobwebs and pet hair, suggesting room for improvement in attention to detail.
The location is consistently lauded as perfect, with easy access to York's city centre, shops, pubs, and historical sites. It's peaceful yet central, contributing to a highly positive experience.
Guests find the beds comfortable and the apartment cosy, with some noting the convenience of throws for chilly evenings. However, comments about steep stairs and low settees indicate that comfort may vary depending on individual needs.
The cottage is well-equipped with kitchen appliances, a good shower, and a parking space. Some guests mentioned limited space for hanging clothes and the bathroom being downstairs as minor inconveniences.
Many guests mention appreciative gestures such as flowers and welcome gifts of tea, coffee, and milk. While these are warmly received, it's important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed.

Lovely little mews-type house just a minute's walk to the Monkgate and into the City Centre; just 5 minutes stroll to the Minster. Very well equipped throughout, and with the added bonus of having its own car parking space. Next visit to York we know where we'll be booking!!

The location was perfect, easy to access but far enough from the nightlife to stay peaceful. I loved hearing the bells in the distance every hour; it added charm without being disturbing. The place had everything you could need for a comfortable stay: towels, a hair dryer, iron and board, plus plenty of cooking equipment, kettle, toaster, microwave, oven, and even a dishwasher! It felt very homely, a real place to unwind. The blanket throws were perfect for chilly evenings, and there was a TV and radio to keep you entertained. The many windows made the rooms feel bright, airy, and full of positive energy.
