With access to over 2 miles of York’s medieval city walls, a maze of snickleways and ginnels, world renowned attractions and a plethora of fabulous shops, cafés and restaurants only a short stroll from the front door, you won’t be able to wait to explore this wonderful city. York is fast gaining a reputation as one of the UK’s ‘foodie’ capitals and you can find some seriously great food and even better tipples brewed within the city. Why not take a break from walking around the city and see the view from one of the open top tour buses or sail slowly along the River Ouse on a cruise boat?
Whether your interest is in the large trains on display at the National Railway Museum, the history of the chocolate industry at York’s Chocolate Story, or of marauding Vikings and invading Romans, York has something for everyone. A little further out of the city you can find Castle Howard, one of the UK’s finest stately homes, the Yorkshire Air Museum, Nunnington Hall and Eden Camp. Fabulous little find... situated in a quiet cul-de-sac away from the hustle and bussle of York, yet a stones throw away from the wall. It has all the amenities and home comforts you need for your stay. We will certainly return when next up in York. Excellent communication with the owner also.

Our first stay at Biggan Mews and we will definitely stay again and recommend this as a perfect retreat for couples whilst staying in central York, which also has parking included right outside your door. The apartment is very well equipped with everything you need and is exceptionally clean. We chose to eat in after our stroll around York with an M&S Dining In meal, as it was very busy in the centre of York with the Christmas Market. Everything was to hand in the kitchen, it was nice to have the cooking facilities available to be able to chose whether we ate in or out. The living area is also very well equipped and has a very comfortable sofas and coordinating blankets which was lovely to snuggle up in and watch the stars through the velux roof windows. Making it feel cosy and festive was the decorated Christmas tree in the room .Communication with the owner to arrange our key collection was perfect - Thank you.
