Guests say

Rose Cottage receives high praise for its cosy, comfortable atmosphere and idyllic rural setting, offering a peaceful retreat amidst sheep fields and moorland. Guests appreciate the warm welcome from the owner and the friendly farm dog, Ted. The cottage's cleanliness and charm contribute to a restful stay, with many guests expressing a desire to return. While some noted the property could benefit from updates and maintenance, the overall experience is one of tranquillity and relaxation, perfect for recharging in the North York Moors & Coast.

Most guests found Rose Cottage to be clean and comfortable, contributing to a pleasant stay. However, a few mentioned the presence of dust and cobwebs, suggesting room for improvement in this area.

The location is highly praised for its peaceful rural setting and proximity to walks and scenic drives. The cottage's setting in the North York Moors & Coast is a highlight for many, though one guest found the directions to be inaccurate.

Guests generally regard the cottage as cosy and comfortable, with comfy beds and a warm atmosphere. Some guests, however, reported issues with the property being cold upon arrival and the furniture being uncomfortable.

The cottage is well-equipped for a comfortable stay, though some guests noted missing items and maintenance issues such as a leaking kettle and problematic oven door. The presence of an open fire is a plus for many.

While guests have mentioned receiving a warm welcome and even gifts such as wine and mince pies, there is not enough consistent information about thoughtful touches being a standard offering to accurately score this category. It should be noted that such gifts are a kind gesture and not guaranteed.

The standard of cleanliness was impeccable, the cottage was so warm and cosy and had everything we needed for our stay. The beds and sofas were super comfy. Didn't light the log fire as the cottage was so warm anyway even though it was October. The lady who owned it was really friendly and made us so welcome. Would love to return and would recommend in a heartbeat.
