really lovely cottage, nice and clean and you can tell it's recently renovated. Great location, peace and quiet but very near local villages. Only thing we would note is the final stretch of road (half a mile) is a single track country lane, which isn't a problem but as there's no street lighting etc in the dark it can be hard to find the cottage! We drove past the first night after popping out for tea by accident. Otherwise, perfect!

Lovely quiet location with dog friendly walks from the doorstep, the pub in nawton is dog friendly and nice welcoming staff about half a mile walk from the cottage with great Sunday carvery, Thursday homemade pie night of 5 choices was great, a lovely dog friendly farm shop and cafe at beadlam Grange a mile car ride from the cottage, nice pizzas at kirkby Moorside 3miles away with cafes, shops and pubs, and the other way is lovely Helmsley 3 miles from cottage packed with cafés shops pubs and hotels, lovely whitby 45 min away and northallerton was a lovely town with lots there including Betty's tearoom and barkers department store a perfect location for visiting North Yorkshire
