Lovely quiet location with dog friendly walks from the doorstep, the pub in nawton is dog friendly and nice welcoming staff about half a mile walk from the cottage with great Sunday carvery, Thursday homemade pie night of 5 choices was great, a lovely dog friendly farm shop and cafe at beadlam Grange a mile car ride from the cottage, nice pizzas at kirkby Moorside 3miles away with cafes, shops and pubs, and the other way is lovely Helmsley 3 miles from cottage packed with cafés shops pubs and hotels, lovely whitby 45 min away and northallerton was a lovely town with lots there including Betty's tearoom and barkers department store a perfect location for visiting North Yorkshire

Silent Springs was perfect for our needs for a break in the N Yorks moors area, close to Pickering & Helmsley, good sized cottage just outside the quiet little village of Nawton, situated approx. 1 mile up a very quiet countryside lane (no through road), the cottage was peaceful, surroundings picturesque. Facilities in cottage are excellent, well equipped, coffee machine provided, comfortable huge bedroom with large wardrobe & settee, en-suite shower room with easy to operate digital shower, wi-fi connection was good, parking right outside & off-road was safe & secure, we would highly recommend Silent Springs.

We really enjoyed our stay and would re book if that way again.Tina was both friendly and hospitable, (we didn't meet her other half).The front garden is safe for our little dog which is such a bonus not worrying about the road.We had a lovely week in a beautiful part of North Yorkshire.The only thing I would change is swapping the sofas, we are seniors and the one in the lounge was very low for us, the bedroom one was perfect.
