17 Fewster Way is a well-received holiday cottage in York, praised for its prime location, cleanliness, and comfort. Guests appreciate the modern amenities, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful welcome packs. The property's proximity to the city centre and parking convenience are frequently highlighted, alongside the pleasant outdoor area and tasteful decor.
The cottage is consistently described as immaculate and spotlessly clean, with many guests highlighting the cleanliness as a standout feature. However, there was a single mention of the property not being cleaned prior to arrival, which slightly impacts the otherwise excellent feedback.
The location is highly praised for being within easy walking distance to York's city centre and attractions. The convenience of on-site parking and proximity to good restaurants and pubs adds to the appeal. The only minor drawback mentioned is noise from nearby guests at a hotel.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with modern decor and a cosy atmosphere. The property is equipped with quality appliances and furniture, although there are suggestions for additional items like a fan for warmer days and a footstool for extra comfort.
The facilities are generally well-regarded, with a fully equipped kitchen and high-quality bathroom. Some guests suggest minor improvements such as better Wi-Fi connectivity, maintenance of door locks, and the addition of a handrail in the shower for safety.
The welcome packs are frequently mentioned and greatly appreciated by guests, indicating a high level of thoughtfulness from the hosts. It should be noted that while such gestures are common, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

There was everything you needed! The owner left us a complimentary pack, it just bowled us over that she could be so kind and generous. The house is in a perfect location, 2 mins from the city walls. We would recommend the house to anyone wishing to spend time in York. It's the best holiday let we have stayed in. It was perfect!!!

Perfectly situated for seeing all of York. 10 min walk to the Shambles, 15 min to York Minster. Found a lovely little Italian restaurant 2 min walk away.

The location is excellent. We didn't need to drive whilst in York because we could walk to everything. I had groceries delivered our first night and we cooked most meals at home. Last night was at the Mason Arms around the corner - wonderful pub. We only had one maintenance issue but the owners fixed it ASAP so our stay was great. Sykes did not provide good communication between us and the owner - which is why I rated the property a 10 but Sykes a 7. Two single beds in the second bedroom would make things easier for a family - but we knew there were two double beds when we booked.
