This mid-terrace cottage is situated in the market town of Helmsley in North Yorkshire. This lovely cottage is ideal for a family holiday in the heart of this wonderful market town. From the front door there is an open plan living area with well-equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable seating area. Upstairs there are two lovely bedrooms, one with a double bed and TV and the other is a twin bedroom, both with Velux windows and sloping ceilings. From the cottage, take a short walk into the centre of Helmsley where you will find individual and unique shops, galleries, boutiques and, of course, pubs and restaurants.
The town has its own walled garden and castle and the award-winning National Centre for Birds of Prey is in the Duncombe Park Estate. There are many cycling and walking opportunities within the National Park with its rolling countryside. Further afield, is the city of York, and the traditional seaside resort towns of Whitby and Scarborough. You will want to return to this lovely cottage again and again.

Very central to Helmsley which is a beautiful place to visit. It was well equipped . Lovely comfortable bed . One of the best we have stayed in. No welcome pack so good job the shops were still open when we arrived.

The cottage is a modern and is well appointed with all necessary facilties and was in tiptop condition on arrival. We are both in mid to late 70's and found everything easily accessible, bath, shower, stairs etc. We had a smashing weeks stay last week in August, and the sun shone every day with only one small shower in the week. We travelled to Saltburn on Sea, and Rosedale Abbey, Rievauxl Abbey and Helmsley Castle, and visited the Birds of Prey in Duncombe Park.....all recomended. We will definitely consider a return trip to this cottage again.
