Two bedrooms benefit from stylish en suite bathrooms, while the remaining three share a well equipped shower room on the first floor. The heart of the home is the fully equipped country kitchen, complete with all the modern appliances needed, perfect for creating hearty breakfasts or relaxed evening meals. We have a mixed stay at the property. The location was good, as was the property, however we had no water supply on the morning after we arrived, and then no hot water on the following morning after that. The issue was resolved but it did disrupt our holiday so others need to be aware. The issue appears to relate to a pump which is malfunctioning and seems to be long standing from what the plumber told me. I am hoping it is resolved as otherwise this would be a lovely place for a family to stay.

Lockton House was perhaps the best holiday cottage we’ve stayed in. The house itself was beautifully decorated, clean and easily accommodated our extended family. Hawnsby is the perfect location to explore the North York Moors. Whilst it is secluded (a bonus in my family’s mind) it is within easy reach of Helmsley. As a family we thoroughly enjoyed our stay in North Yorkshire and would highly recommend Lockton House.
