The stately home of Castle Howard, home to Brideshead Revisited, is a short drive away and has a packed events programme throughout the summer season. Bus links to the city from the village are regular and the park and ride into York is also just a short drive away. A little further afield are the stunning North York Moors and the East Coast seaside towns of Scarborough, Filey and Whitby.
