Tancred Cottage is an excellent choice for a break. Well finished property with everything that you need. The cottage has a great enclosed garden which is perfect for children or dogs. Close to the train station for York or Leeds. We loved the log burning stove for a cosy evening. Would definitely book this cottage again!

What a cosy, beautiful cottage with lots of character and everything you will need for a quality stay. Dog friendly and plenty of room indoors and out for all. We really appreciated the outdoor dog wash for cleaning shoes and boots. The weather wasn’t so good but that didn’t stop us. Farm shop next door handy and we found a great butcher’s shop in Poppleton ( a lovely village with a cafe and some good walks/runs). We are hoping to return sometime to use the pizza oven and BBQ. Thanks to Helen who kept in touch and made us very welcome.
