Enter the apartment and you will find a spacious hallway that leads to the large open plan living area. Flooded with natural light from a large picture window and French doors that lead out on to a small balcony where you can enjoy an early morning coffee or watch the night draw in with a glass or two of wine; this room is sure to delight.
The sleek, modern kitchen with large central island and breakfast bar offers an array of top of the range kitchen accessories including a wine cooler; it’s a delightful area from which to prepare a delicious meal or two.The dining table is well placed in front of the window and offers plenty of seating for seven whilst the sitting area provides a large deep filled L shaped sofa and chairs that face a large qled smart TV – just perfect to relax and unwind after a day exploring the ancient streets of York. To one side hidden in a discreet cupboard you will find a washer/dryer for your convenience.

A short stroll leads you through Monk Bar into the city centre with its abundance of historic sights. Discover the snickleways and alleyways of the medieval city that wind between York’s ancient cobbled streets which include the famous Shambles. Visit the Castle Museum, Jorvik Viking Centre, National Railway Museum and spectacular Minster or simply watch the world go by from one of the numerous cafes, bars and restaurants. There is excellent shopping to be had in York city centre or visit the Designer Outlet or Monks Cross Shopping Park.

We found the loft to be perfect for our holiday in York.It was in good walking distance to plenty of local amenities / attractions whilst also being quiet as we had children with us.We had no issues at all with access and found the Loft to be very clean, tidy and fully stocked with everything we needed including some nice welcome extras.Would most definitely recommend.

Absolutely beautiful apartment, everything you could need and more. Walking distance to York centre, amazing shops and the shambles. Beautiful cathedral. Cassandra even left us a hamper with a bottle of fiz, crisps, chocolate bars, milk, tea bags. Thanks you it was very much appreciated. Very highly recommended, we all loved it .

We had a wonderful stay at The Loft. Directions were clear and we found the apartment easily. The location was amazing - only a short walk from the centre of York. The apartment was overall very clean and very well equipped. However, one of the towels was bleach stained and one of the matresses had what looked like a blood stain on the side. This wasn't too much of an issue as all the sheets were very clean and fresh! Each room had plently of pillows and there were fans in each room for the hot weather. We found there were lots of lovely little amenities to help our stay. Beds weren't the best/most comfortable but fine for a weekend.
