The master bedroom retains the Elizabethan smoke hood from the inglenook below which makes an unusual yet stunning feature in the room. Yet with all this history on hand, the historical features are complemented by the modern comforts expected in a holiday home. On entering the property via the rear garden the modern extension houses the large dining room which will comfortably seat eight persons, and with the large kitchen just next door, this is the perfect area to relax and socialize with friends and family after a long day exploring the local area. Also on the ground floor is a twin bedroom with en-suite, patio doors to the garden, and two living rooms. The rest of the bedrooms and house bathroom are on the first floor and offer a mixture of twin and double accommodation with the master having a small en-suite shower.

Lovely quirky old house with a well equipped kitchen and plenty of space. Great for hide and seek! The decor is a bit shabby, but the character and space make up for that.

The house is quirky and charming, everything worked fine and it is within easy walking to the town centre. The host was very amenable, meeting me at the property to show me around. I really appreciated this as it was after dark and would have been difficult without a torch. Entrance is from the rear and Easingwold is not well lit at night. It took some time to locate the towels and the router - an information sheet would have been helpful. The bedrooms and bathrooms are a little tired and the two en-suites are very small, but showers etc all worked ok.

Tudor house is full of history the oldest house in Easingwold. It’s really quaint but cosy. Really spacious inside with a very big back garden which my dog loved. Although it’s not gated so have to watch your dogs. Very close to local pubs a few metres and the food at the George pub is absolutely fantastic and the staff and locals are so friendly. And dog friendly.
