This lovely holiday retreat, adjacent to the owners’ home, is tucked away in a quiet hamlet, between the spa town of Harrogate, 16 miles, and the city of York, 8 miles. Experience being able to dip in and out of city life via the Park and Ride, 3 miles. The city of York has a wide variety of interesting museums, including the Railway Museum, Castle Museum and Jorvik Viking Centre, and is very picturesque, with cobbled streets surrounding the magnificent minster. The North York Moors and Coast, together with the Dales, are accessible as an alternative day out. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 3 miles.

We enjoyed our stay at Wheatsheaf Cottage. The area is very quiet and the cottage is comfortable and well equipped.The owners are friendly and helpful but leave you to get on with your holiday. The cottage is perfect for exploring the area with so many lovely places in easy reach.
