What a stunning location for a holiday. Right on the lochside at Aboyne Loch, this lovely holiday home makes the most of its fabulous position with patio doors leading onto decking right outside the spacious open plan living area with fine views over the loch and beyond towards Aboyne Golf Course. This is a great spot to soak up the surroundings; you will be rewarded with sightings of ospreys, deer and other wildlife all from the comfort of your armchair. Upstairs, the master bedroom again has picture windows running the whole length of the gable end, while on the other side of the house there is a cosy twin room as well as bathroom with shower.
On-site, coarse fishing and stand-up paddleboarding can be arranged directly with the owner, while keen golfers can enjoy the challenges of Aboyne Golf Course on the far side of the loch. Centrally located in Royal Deeside, Aboyne is a popular Deeside village with some good shops and eateries. During the summer months Royal Deeside is host to many highland games including Aboyne, Ballater and Lonach Highland Games as well as the Braemar Gathering. The area is a mecca for wildlife enthusiasts, with the Muir of Dinnet Reserve, the Lochnagar Reserve and Mar Estate offering further chances to glimpse ospreys, otters and wildfowl. The ski slopes at the Lecht and Cairngorms can be easily reached, and these areas also offer plenty of good hillwalking. Golf courses abound and some good day trips would include Crathes Castle, Balmoral and the Cambus O’ May Forest walks.

Lovely home right on the Loch's edge. There are plenty of wildlife to watch from the back deck including swans and their babies. The golf course is straight across the loch with walking trails all around. It's a lovely view and the town is perfect with restaurants and grocery store. Our favorite place to visit each morning was The Black Faced Sheep which offers many coffees, and nice breakfasts. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to rent Golf View again during my next trip to Scotland.
