Elizabeth Lodge in Alford is highly praised for its comfort, cleanliness, and well-equipped facilities. Guests appreciate the warm welcome, including thoughtful touches like a welcome pack. The large garden and local amenities add to the charm, though one mention of oven issues suggests a minor point for improvement.
Guests consistently describe the lodge as spotlessly clean and tidy, indicating a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.
The location is appreciated for its quietness and proximity to local shops and attractions. However, one review suggests the garden could be more secure due to a busy road, slightly affecting the score.
Reviews highlight the comfortable beds, cosy lounge, and warm atmosphere, suggesting a very comfortable stay. The large garden and outdoor seating areas also contribute to the overall comfort.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and good Wi-Fi. However, a single report of an oven not working indicates a potential issue with maintenance.
Guests are touched by the welcome pack and the owner's accommodating nature. While these gestures are highly appreciated, it should be noted that such personal touches, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.

An excellent, comfortable, warm and well equipped cottage in a lovely area. We visited a number of National Trust for Scotland properties all within an hour’s drive most around 30 minutes away. Alford has a good Coop. We’d definitely stay again.
