The area is part of the National Cycle Network, with several sections designated traffic-free for relaxed cycling for all ages. The Banffshire coast is a haven for fishing, with good freshwater fishing in the lower beats of the River Deveron and excellent sea fishing. Along the coast are smokehouses and fish shops, as well as quality seafood restaurants. Great little cottage, friendly neighbours who explained bin day to us. Ideal base for exploring the Aberdeenshire and Moray coast. Patient hosts who helped us locate the house in the dark. The weather was kind, cold but kind, we stopped complaining when we saw wild swimmers in the sea from the warmth of our dining table over breakfast.
