Guests say

Going Coastal is a highly praised cottage, celebrated for its cleanliness, comfort, and excellent location near the beach. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, cosy decor, and the host's attentiveness. The property is ideal for family stays, dog-friendly, and offers a perfect mix of traditional charm and modern amenities. While some minor suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall sentiment is overwhelmingly positive, with many guests eager to return.

Guests consistently mention that the cottage is 'spotlessly clean', indicating a high standard of cleanliness. The property's tidiness contributes significantly to the comfort and enjoyment of their stay.

The cottage's location is frequently highlighted as peaceful and relaxing, with proximity to beaches and local amenities in Fraserburgh. The scenic village setting and easy access to coastal trails add to its appeal.

Comfort is a strong point for Going Coastal, with guests finding the beds super comfortable and the living spaces cosy, especially with the log burner. The only minor drawback mentioned is the accessibility of the ornate bath.

Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful decor. However, some guests suggested improvements such as clearer instructions for the cooker and a more accessible bath/shower option.

The host's thoughtfulness is evident through the provision of fresh bread, milk, and other touches. While these gifts are greatly appreciated, it's important to note that such personal touches, though common, are not guaranteed with every stay.

We stayed in Going Coastal for a few nights and found it to be the most wonderful and cosy cottage. The attention to detail is lovely with little touches here and there making it feel unique and homely. We spent the cold nights is the cosy Lounge with the logs burning and large comfy sofas to relax on. The host is very attentive and on hand should you need anything. We didn’t experience much sunshine however the small village would’ve been lovely to walk around and the beach looked inviting too. If only it were summer!Would highly recommend this cottage and we would definitely return.

Wow…….what a beautiful, quaint & cosy cottage in a lovely little fisher village just a 2 minute walk from the shore. The cottage had everything you need for a great stay, kitchen well equipped with oven, induction hob, microwave, good coffee machine and every utensil you will need including the very useful corkscrew ( it was put to good use) Bed was super comfy as were the pillows, plenty hanging space and shelving for even the longest of stays. Living room has 2 large comfy sofas and chair and best of all the log burner, spent 1 week there and the weather was not kind, rained the whole time but coming back to a cosy house after a long dreich walk with Lexi the Australian Labradoodle was a welcome treat.Would like to say what an eye for detail Joann has in the decor of the cottage from the paint colours to the soft furnishings, the pictures on the wall, the toilet roll holder and towel hooks and the vintage toggle light switch and air vents she really has a great sense of how to dress a period house, loved it.I would definitely recommend Going Coastal no matter what season.
