The garden and proximity to local attractions are frequently praised, and the property is considered excellent value for money. Repeat visitors and positive comments about the owner’s helpfulness further enhance its appeal.

Cleanliness receives mixed feedback. Several guests found the cottage clean in key areas like bed linen and bathrooms, but others reported issues such as pet hair, dust, cobwebs, and dirty kitchenware. A few reviews mention the need for a deep clean and improvements in housekeeping.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to beaches, nature reserves, and local attractions. Guests enjoy the peaceful setting, easy access to walks, and convenience for exploring the surrounding area. The cottage is also noted as a great base for dog owners.

I booked this cottage as a getaway for me and my dog and it was exactly what I hoped it would be. The cottage itself is lovely inside with all the amenities you could need. Then there is the garden, probably the part I miss the most. A great space for my dog to have fun and always seemed to be in direct sunlight. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone and will likely go back again some day.

This cottage is a miden! Very very dirty and dropping to pieces. There is a smell in the lounge area which is nauseating! 2 cans of Fabreeze fid not lesson it. Garden unusable - disgusting place which should not be open for travellers!

Cute little cottage that's pretty close to the beach (probably about 20 minutes). It was a little chilly in the cottage, so I would recommend slippers and jumpers. It's also an older building, but it was perfect for a little trip to escape the city. Two bathrooms is a plus, however one did have some sort of carpeting in it...If you're wanting to get out of the cottage, make sure to check when the museums and shops are open. We had bad timing on our trip (we went during the week) and the museums in Montrose were all closed every day we were there. But that's just poor planning on our end haha. There's a little shop about 5-10 min walk to get some basics for cooking, or larger shops in Montrose which is probably less than a 10 min drive, or there is also a bus stop near by!
