Guests say

Sanna is a cosy and well-regarded cottage in a peaceful and scenic location, with guests praising its cleanliness, comfort, and the warm welcome provided by the hosts. The nearby restaurant and stunning views are frequently mentioned, as are the thoughtful touches like a welcome pack. The area offers beautiful walks and is a short drive from Dunoon.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as clean and tidy, indicating high standards of cleanliness.

The location is praised for its beauty and tranquillity, with proximity to lochs, mountains, and a local restaurant. However, some guests note the need for driving to access shops and amenities.

Reviewers find the cottage warm, cosy, and well-sized for couples and pets, suggesting a high level of comfort.

Facilities are generally well-received, with mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and outside seating. The lack of local amenities within walking distance and the closure of nearby attractions due to storms suggest some limitations.

Guests appreciate the welcome pack and homemade shortbread, reflecting the hosts' thoughtfulness. While these gifts are warmly mentioned, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Sanna is a delightful detached cottage located in the hamlet of Ardentinny on the banks of Loch Long and the Firth of Clyde, near Dunoon.  This stone built self catering cottage was formally the old village hall dating back to the late 1800’s. Now tastefully renovated into comfortable holiday accommodation for a couple, the cottage has wooden floors throughout, a double bedroom with en-suite facilities and a spacious open plan living space with kitchen, dining and seating area. The cottage also has its own enclosed gravel garden area and off street parking. Ardentinny is situated within Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park and next to Argyll Forest which offers numerous forest tracks, marked walks and cycleways within this area, all easily accessible and right on your doorstep. The cottage has the additional benefit that it is only a short walk (200 yards) to gain access to the seafront where you can walk, fish, launch a canoe or just rest on the rocks, relax and enjoy the view. Shop 5 miles, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

We spent a lovely week at Sanna. The cottage is incredibly warm and cosy, and has everything you need. Mrs Primrose was welcoming and helpful, and we would stay there again if we wanted to visit that area of Scotland again.

Fabulous cottage in a beautiful location. Sanna has everything you need and more including a lovely host who lives behind the property and is genuinely keen to make sure you are comfortable, thank you Mrs P.Ardentinny is stunning, the walks are amazing and I enjoyed looking through binoculars at RNAD Coulport wondering if they were looking back! We didn’t glow in the dark so all good. The bar across the road is great, the views out of the restaurant are stunning. We only wish we’d gone earlier in the week. Cot House Garage up the road has everything you need, Blairmore has a fantastic cafe and shop and Dunoon is an easy drive (but a little tired). We also ventured over to the Isle of Bute with ease.Sanna is booked well in advance and is clearly extremely popular. Their ‘Customer Choice’ award is well deserved. Book it now!

When asked to review it asked for local amenities apart from the bistro across the road there was nothing within walking distance but you know what that was absolutely fine we chose Sanna cottage because of where it was and for the area it was in beautiful with good dog walks from the cottage. The cottage was great just the right size for two humans and two dogs with everything in it you needed. Welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and shortbread. Definitely one to go back to.
