The cottage's location is consistently lauded for its proximity to the Crinan Canal and the opportunities to explore the surrounding area of Argyll.
Guests find the cottage cosy and comfortable, but issues with heating and a damp smell have affected the overall comfort for some visitors.
While the kitchen is well-equipped, there are multiple reports of maintenance issues such as non-functioning radiators, a loose banister, and problems with the TV remote and electric fire.

Cozy and comfy cottage. Well equipped. Great location, especially for cycling.

The property was cold and damp, some mould with little care. The radiator heating did not come on automatically, seemed to be set at a low temperature. It could be overridden at individual radiators but that didn't always work and we never got the living room radiator to work. It was reported by another victim in August but a month later nothing had been done. There was an electric fire in the living room but it was very temperamental. Sometimes it had to be switched off for a while to reset. For some reason the owners think a smart meter is needed with a weekly budget set so you can decide between staying warm or saving the owners money.TV remote - the important select button didn't work without repeated attempts. We took ages to log out of Netflix because we couldn't get it to work and nearly had to leave it logged in. Be warned. The place needs a deep clean. If you like wildlife, there's plenty inside, spiders running around and in every nook and cranny, even a centipede crawling up a wall. There is a useful cassette player which has been there since the 80s or predicting a revival.I haven't suffered from asthma since I was a child but something in that place was making me short-breathed and wheezy - mould? Dust? Dog hair? Who knows. It's not a healthy place. The owners are clearly milking the place and don't want to spend the time or money to refurbish to a standard reflecting the money they charge. If I were you, I would avoid until they have refurbished.. The area of course is another matter and we'll worth exploring as we have for many years.

The cottage is in an excellent position right beside the Crinan Canal and there is lots to do and see in the area. The kitchen is well equipped and some of the furniture is really nice. However, the decor is somewhat tired and dated. The radiator in the living room did not work and the house was rather cold. There was a damp smell when we arrived and we found black mould on some of the walls. We reported this and the heating problem to the owner. She said she had contacted a heating engineer but nobody came.
