Guests say

Belloch Cottage is praised for its peaceful location, stunning views, and sunsets, making it a charming base for exploring. Guests appreciate the clean, cosy atmosphere and the thoughtful touches like fresh flowers and home-baked treats. While some mention the need for maintenance and updates, the overall experience is positive, especially for those seeking a tranquil retreat with lovely scenery.

Most guests found the cottage clean, with one mentioning it was very clean upon arrival. However, one review cited issues with cleanliness, including dirty kitchen utensils and carpets, which slightly lowers the score.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to ferries and islands, with beautiful sea views and sunsets. It's deemed perfect for exploring the Kintyre peninsula, though the proximity to a main road is noted.

Guests find the cottage cosy and well-equipped, but several mention that the mattress is uncomfortable and in need of replacement, affecting the comfort score.

The cottage is appreciated for its amenities, including a log burner and good 4G reception. However, reports of maintenance issues like a problematic shower door and holes in the flooring impact the score.

Guests are delighted by thoughtful gestures such as fresh flowers and home-baked banana bread. While these treats are warmly received, it's important to note that such personal touches, though wonderful, are not guaranteed.

The town boasts two distilleries as well as a museum, heritage centre and a harbour, with an annual regatta and music festival. The town is well-served, with supermarkets, independently owned shops, and excellent hotels and restaurants offering the finest local produce. The surrounding area is well-known for its fine beaches, unspoilt countryside and scenic walks, with the addition of the Kintyre Way, making this an ideal location from which to explore the Kintyre Peninsula.

Within a short distance, there are many quiet and sandy beaches to explore and there is easy access to the Isles of Islay, Arran and Jura. Lovely cosy cottage. Well equipped and overlooking the sea. Good location for exploring Kintyre. On a main road but not too busy. Garden is not enclosed so had to keep our dog on a lead with the road, but not a problem. Heating and log burner were perfect, even in late December. We had a lovely week ☺️

Belloch Cottage for us was lovely, comfortable and cosy. Being familiar with the area, we really enjoyed this location, and despite it being on the main road (A83), we never noticed the traffic at all.Having a dog we did have to watch as the garden is not enclosed but in truth there was plenty of walking nearby or slightly further afield by car.We would without doubt want to stay here again. There was a welcome of fresh flowers and delicious home baked banana bread. We did visit the nearby village shops in both Glenbarr and Muasdale with Campbeltown being 10 miles away.Overall this cottage suited us perfectly
