Invernoe Cottage is praised for its stunning, tranquil location amidst wildlife and scenic views. Guests enjoy the secure garden, ideal for pets and children, and the cosy, homely atmosphere. The remote setting offers a peaceful retreat with opportunities for walking and water sports. While some guests mention the need for better cleanliness and updates to cookware, the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.
Several guests noted the need for improved cleanliness, mentioning cobwebs and chipped paintwork. However, others described the cottage as extremely clean, indicating some inconsistency in standards.
The location is consistently lauded for its beauty, wildlife, and peacefulness. The challenging access road is noted, but the secluded setting is ultimately seen as a positive feature.
Guests find the cottage cosy and comfortable, with comfortable beds and a homely feel. The presence of a secure garden adds to the comfort for those with pets or children.
The cottage is well-equipped, but some guests suggest updates are needed for cookware and minor amenities. The availability of wifi and a smart TV is appreciated.
There are no mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts, so it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

Superb location, no understatement. Andrew was brilliant and even gave us a tow when we got stuck in the new year snowfall. This cottage had everything that we needed to enjoy a wonderful Christmas (including full Christmas dinner) and new year. No issues with amenities at all. Yes it's remote (just how we like it) and the single road track would be a challenge for low riding vehicles, but easy to access trips to Oban and Mull. Wildlife galore, we were spoilt with deer, otter sightings, and so many bird species. Could not have asked for a better host or location.

What a location this is, thankfully I had read the reviews over a year ago in regards to the road in. It’s 2 miles at 7mph the whole way but navigated carefully in a bigger car it was fine. The cottages location is just incredible, deer every morning and night, it’s just a shame that you can’t get down to loch side in front of the cottage. Huge secure garden for the dog, the one and only downside was cleanliness. All skirting boards need a good clean, chipped paint work on all doors & frames and an awful lot of cobwebs in the corners. Not a massive issue but we felt considering the price you wouldn’t expect this. That being said, we would definitely return in the future. It was the just what we needed to escape a busy home life.
