With an optional interconnecting door with The Knowe Lower below, this lovely cottage can be opened out to accommodate eight people. A delightful cottage surrounded by outstanding scenery. The village of Taynuilt is situated 12 miles from the bustling town of Oban. The village offers a Post Office, pub, hairdresser, toy shop, newsagents, butchers, grocers, tearooms and a 9 hole golf course. The area is a haven for hill walkers and nature lovers, and Oban has a number of amenities to suit all tastes.

No dishwasher or tumble dryer. Drying washing was a problem as the clothes line taken up by lower Knowle while we there. Worktop space a minimum. Disappointed to discover butchers had closed. Looked forward to a bottle of prosecco but there was none. As promised.

The owners were very friendly. Taynuilt itself is a nice location, near to both the mountains and the islands.

The property is in the perfect location to explore, with easy access to Oban and the islands. There was a welcome package when we arrived meaning we could unpack with a cuppa and delicious shortbread, and Shirli popped over to welcome us. Our dog loved his little welcome goodie bag too! The property was ideal for our family, warm and cosy after a day out walking, and with a well equipped kitchen for cooking at the end of the day. We would love to come back and stay.
