Smithy Cottage is let Saturday to Saturday and welcomes short breaks. Maximum 2 dogs permitted.
One of a pair of single storey traditional cottages graded 4 star by Visit Scotland, completely rebuilt internally and finished to a high standard throughout. Located on Bartaggart farm, situated in delightful upland country with open views yet within easy access of the Solway coast with its rocky shores and lovely sandy beaches.
Loch Ken with Galloway Activity Centre, Crossmichael Marina and Loch Ken Waterski School are within a fifteen minute drive and is also a renown course fishery. The villages of New Galloway and Dalry are also within a few minutes drive. There is easy access on to the Southern Upland Way, superb walking and cycling country.
Bartaggart Farm has indoor equestrian facilities and holidaymakers are welcome to take their horses with them as stabling can be provided.
